Generate API Token
The Whatsbot REST API module requires an API token to authenticate and perform operations. Below are the steps to generate and save the API token.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Access the Whatsbot API Token Page:
- Navigate to the Whatsbot API module in your Perfex CRM instance.
- You should see a screen with the title Whatsbotapi and an input field labeled Whatsbot API Token.
Generate a New API Token:
- Click on the Generate Token button on the right side of the input field.
- A new token will be automatically generated and displayed in the input field.
- The API token will appear as a long string of alphanumeric characters (e.g.,
h4BwU34qju0Dzjtv...
).
Copy the Token:
- If you want to copy the token for later use, click on the copy icon (clipboard icon) next to the token input field.
- This will copy the token to your clipboard for use in API requests.
Save the Token:
- After generating and copying the token, click on the Save Settings button at the bottom right of the page to store the API token securely.
- Saving the token ensures it can be used for future API calls without needing to regenerate it.
Token Usage:
- Use the generated API token in your requests to authenticate against the Whatsbot REST API.
- Ensure that you keep this token secure, as it provides access to your Whatsbot API.
