Frequently Asked Questions
General
Is the Blog Module compatible with all WhatsMark SaaS versions?
The Blog Module requires WhatsMark SaaS v3.0 or above. We recommend always running the latest version for best compatibility. Check Release Notes for version-specific details.
Posts & Content
Is there a limit to how many posts I can create?
No. The module does not impose a post limit. Your server storage and database capacity are the only practical constraints.
Can I schedule posts to publish automatically?
Yes. Set the Status to Scheduled when creating or editing a post, then pick a date and time. The post becomes publicly visible as soon as that time passes — no manual action needed. Scheduled times are stored in UTC and converted from your system timezone automatically.
Categories & Tags
Can I create nested categories?
No. Categories are flat in the current version — there is no parent/child hierarchy. Each category has a name, optional slug, and optional description.
Can I delete a category that has posts assigned to it?
No. The system blocks deletion of any category with posts attached. You will see a validation error. Reassign or delete the related posts first, then delete the category.
Can tags be created without going to the Tags page?
Yes. While editing a post, type a new tag name directly in the tags field. The tag is created and saved automatically when the post form is submitted.
SEO
What SEO fields are available per post?
Each post has a Meta Title and a Meta Description field. If left blank, the meta title falls back to the post title and the meta description falls back to the post excerpt.
