This guide explains how tenants can connect their WhatsApp Business accounts using the embedded sign-up feature once it has been enabled by the administrator.
Prerequisites for Tenants β
Before starting the WhatsApp connection process, tenants should have:
- An active account on your WhatsMarkSaaS platform
- A subscription to a plan that includes WhatsApp Business API access (enabled by admin)
- A Facebook Business Account (or be ready to create one)
- Admin access to their Facebook Business Manager
- A valid credit card or payment method for verification
- A verified business phone number they wish to use with WhatsApp
CRITICAL
A verified payment method is essential for WhatsApp Business API functionality. Without it, you cannot send or receive messages even if your number is approved.
Connection Process β
1. Find the Connect Button β
- Log in to the WhatsMarkSaaS tenant account
- The "Connect with Facebook" button will be visible in the dashboard if the plan includes this feature
2. Start the Connection Flow β
- Click the "Connect with Facebook" button
- The system will begin the official Meta embedded sign-up flow
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed
3. Authenticate with Facebook β
- When prompted, log in to your Facebook account
- If you already have a Facebook Business account, select it
- If not, follow the guided process to create one
4. Select or Create WhatsApp Business Account β
- Choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create a new one
- If creating a new account, you'll need to provide business information
- Ensure all business details are accurate as they may be subject to verification
5. Register Phone Number β
- Enter the phone number you want to use with WhatsApp Business
- Verify the phone number through the provided verification method (usually SMS or call)
- Once verified, the number will be linked to your WhatsApp Business account
6. Add and Verify Payment Method β
- Navigate to the payment settings in your Facebook Business Manager
- Add a valid credit card or other supported payment method

8. Return to WhatsMarkSaaS β
- After successful connection, you'll be redirected back to WhatsMarkSaaS
- The system will display a success message
- Your WhatsApp connection status will show as "Connected"
Troubleshooting Common Issues β
Connection Fails to Complete β
If the connection process does not complete properly:
- Check that you have admin rights in your Facebook Business Manager
- Ensure your Facebook Business account is in good standing
- Verify that the phone number is eligible for WhatsApp Business API
- Try refreshing the page and starting the process again
Phone Number Verification Issues β
If you encounter problems with phone verification:
- Make sure the phone number format is correct, including country code
- Ensure the phone can receive SMS or calls for verification
- If using a landline, select the "Call me" option instead of SMS
- Wait at least 24 hours before trying to verify the same number again if previous attempts failed
Business Verification Requirements β
In some cases, Meta may require additional business verification:
- Prepare business documentation such as registration certificates, licenses, etc.
