This guide walks through the process for your customers (tenants) to connect their WhatsApp Business accounts using the Embedded Sign-up feature.
Prerequisites for End Users β
Before starting the WhatsApp connection process, users should have:
- An active account on your WhatsMarkSaaS platform
- A subscription to a plan that includes WhatsApp Business API access
- A Facebook Business Account (or be ready to create one)
- Admin access to their Facebook Business Manager
- A verified business phone number they wish to use with WhatsApp
Connection Process β
1. Access the Embedded Sign-up Feature β
- Log in to your WhatsMarkSaaS tenant account
- Navigate to the sidebar menu
- Locate and click on "WhatsApp Connection" or "Connect WhatsApp"
2. Begin the Connection Flow β
- On the connection page, click the "Connect WhatsApp Business Account" button
- The system will begin the official Meta embedded sign-up flow
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed
3. Authenticate with Facebook β
- When prompted, log in to your Facebook account
- If you already have a Facebook Business account, select it
- If not, follow the guided process to create one
4. Select or Create WhatsApp Business Account β
- Choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create a new one
- If creating a new account, you'll need to provide business information
- Ensure all business details are accurate as they may be subject to verification
5. Register Phone Number β
- Enter the phone number you want to use with WhatsApp Business
- Verify the phone number through the provided verification method (usually SMS or call)
- Once verified, the number will be linked to your WhatsApp Business account
6. Complete Setup β
- Review your WhatsApp Business details
- Accept the terms and conditions
- Click "Complete Setup" to finalize the connection
7. Return to WhatsMarkSaaS β
- After successful connection, you'll be redirected back to WhatsMarkSaaS
- The system will display a success message
- Your WhatsApp connection status will show as "Connected"
Troubleshooting Common Issues β
Connection Fails to Complete β
If the connection process does not complete properly:
- Check that you have admin rights in your Facebook Business Manager
- Ensure your Facebook Business account is in good standing
- Verify that the phone number is eligible for WhatsApp Business API
- Try refreshing the page and starting the process again
Phone Number Verification Issues β
If you encounter problems with phone verification:
- Make sure the phone number format is correct, including country code
- Ensure the phone can receive SMS or calls for verification
- If using a landline, select the "Call me" option instead of SMS
- Wait at least 24 hours before trying to verify the same number again if previous attempts failed
Business Verification Requirements β
In some cases, Meta may require additional business verification:
- Prepare business documentation such as registration certificates, licenses, etc.
- Follow the verification instructions provided by Meta
- Be patient, as verification can take 2-5 business days
After Connection β
Once connected, users can:
- Send template messages
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Set up chatbots and automation
- Access all WhatsApp features available in WhatsMarkSaaS
