Create Templates

The Create Template feature allows you to design and submit WhatsApp message templates directly from WhatsBot. These templates can be used for marketing and utility purposes and are synced with Meta for approval.

Basic Information

  • Template Name
    Provide a unique name using only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores (_).
    Example: order_update, new_version_release

  • Category
    Select the appropriate category:

    • Marketing
    • Utility
  • Language
    Choose the language for the template content.


Header (Optional)

  • You can add a header to enhance your template.

  • Supported types:

    • None
    • Text
    • Image
    • Video
    • Document
  • Upload a media file or provide a public URL.

  • This media will be used in the message preview and template submission.


Template Content

  • Message Body
    Enter the main message content.
    You can format text using:

    • *bold*
    • _italic_
    • ~strikethrough~
    • `code`
  • Variables
    Add dynamic placeholders like {{1}}, {{2}} to personalize messages.

  • Character Limit
    Maximum 1024 characters allowed.


  • Add a short footer message (up to 60 characters).
    Example: WhatsBot Team

Buttons (Optional)

You can add interactive buttons to your template:

  • URL Button – Redirect users to a website
  • Quick Reply Button – Allow users to respond instantly
  • Phone Number Button – Enable users to directly call a specified phone number

Buttons improve user engagement and interaction.


Live Preview

  • A real-time preview is displayed on the right side.
  • It helps you visualize how the message will appear to users on WhatsApp.

Create Template

  • After filling all required fields, click Create Template.
  • The template will be submitted to Meta for approval.
  • Once approved, it can be used in campaigns and automated messages.

Note

  • Templates must follow Meta WhatsApp guidelines to get approved.
  • Avoid spammy or promotional wording in non-marketing categories.
  • Ensure variables are used correctly and sequentially (e.g., {{1}}, {{2}}).
  • Media URLs (if used) must be publicly accessible.
